The Data Science Institute (DSI) at Imperial College London is a research centre that focuses on advancing the field of data science and developing its applications across various fields such as healthcare, engineering, social sciences, and business. The DSI brings together researchers from diverse backgrounds, including mathematics, statistics, computer science, and engineering, to collaborate on cutting-edge research in data science and artificial intelligence. DSI promotes excellence in interdisciplinary data science research and education for the benefit of society.
Imperial College London's Data Science Institute (DSI) needed a sub-brand that could fit within the college's existing visual identity framework. The sub-brand had to utilise the same assets, typefaces and colour palette but still have its own unique and distinct visual presence. This was achieved with a flexible graphic toolkit and a change in emphasis in colour, the primary blue becoming secondary, and the use of red taking lead.
